AI packs

Some Kepvela AI tools need a larger model than the app itself carries. Each pack is a free, optional download that the app installs and checks before use. The models run on your phone and never connect to the internet.

Photo AI, built into KepvelaPic

No download needed. Object removal, background cutout, upscaling, face finding for portrait touch-ups and smooth GIF frames.

Models: MI-GAN (MIT), U-2-Netp (Apache 2.0), Real-ESRGAN general x4v3 (BSD 3-Clause), YuNet (MIT) and RIFE 4.25 lite (MIT).

Restore pack, for KepvelaPic

About 76 MB. A stronger clean-up for old, pixelated and heavily compressed photos, and a slower, higher-quality enlarger.

Models: SCUNet (Apache 2.0 code, MIT weights) and Real-ESRGAN x4plus (BSD 3-Clause).

Writing pack, Standard

About 1.1 GB, for phones with 4 GB of memory or more. Proofreading, rewriting, summaries, notes and questions about a document, in KepvelaDocs, KepvelaScan and KepvelaAudio. Installed once, it serves all three apps.

Models: Qwen3 1.7B (Apache 2.0) and bge-small-en-v1.5 (MIT).

Writing pack, Large

About 2.5 GB, for phones with 8 GB of memory or more. The same tools with a larger, more capable model.

Models: Qwen3 4B Instruct 2507 (Apache 2.0) and bge-small-en-v1.5 (MIT).

Downloading a pack

Download links for the packs will be posted on this page when the apps arrive on Google Play. Each app also tells you when a pack is ready to install, and each pack's license texts are inside the pack.
